Azerbaijan-born businessman is among the 100 richest people in the world

Azerbaijan-born businessman has been included to the list of 100 richest men in the world as of Feb. 12, 2010.
According to the list published by Forbes, Azerbaijan-born Russian businessman Vagit Alakbarov ranks 58th in the 2009 rating with a fortune of 10.6 billion dollars.

Alakbarov, President of LUKoil oil company, is also one of the top ten richest men in Russia.

Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim became the richest man in the world pushing Bill Gates into second place. His fortune is estimated at 53.5 billion dollars, 500 million dollars ahead of Bill Gates.
