Azerbaijan registers more diabetics

The implementation of the state diabetes program allowed to discover people suffering from this disease, Minister of Health Oktay Shiraliyev told a press conference.

He said all these people received glucometers as well as medicines free of charge.

The Minister praised the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s efforts to provide diabetics with necessary medicines. According to him, a new state diabetic support program has been prepared.

The Minister also highlighted the problems of people with renal insufficiency. He noted four hemodialysis centers provided with edge-cutting equipment entered service.

The Republican Clinical Urology Hospital was also put into service in accordance with President`s order.
