Over 100 religious communities reregistered in Azerbaijan

More than 100 religious communities have already been reregistered.

Most of them are the Islamic communities, including several non-Islamic.

The newly-registered communities will receive certificates at the State Committee on Dec. 17..

The Committee said nearly 500 communities have applied for registration.

According to the amendments to the law on religious views and freedom of faith, religious communities will not be allowed to operate without registration from Jan., 2010.
