Strong fire broke out in the base of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s Naval Forces located in Sabail district of Baku at night on on Nov. 27.
The fire was extinguished early in the morning.
The size of the damage is being estimated at the moment.
Commander of the Naval Forces, vice-admiral Shahin Sultanov, high-ranking officers of Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited the site.
The garret of the building has burnt down.
As the fire was strong, a lot of fire engines and ambulances were involved.
The high-ranking officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ministry’s Fire Protection Service, and Defense Ministry visited the site.
Though strong wind created obstacles, the fire was extinguished.
The cause of the fire has not been identified yet.
No causalities were reported yet.
The headquarters of the Naval Forces and Officers’ House are based in the 100-year-old building.
