Book about Azerbaijan published in Turkey

"A booklet for tourists was issued in one of the tourist centers of Alanya. The booklet issued in Turkish, English, Russian, German and French includes reliable information about Azerbaijan", Chairman of the Parliamentary Journalists Association Elshad Eyvazli said.

Eyvazli said the hardships encountered by Azerbaijan, the first democratic republic in the East, was included in the booklet.

"The booklet narrates the story of Azerbaijan's first independence gained in 1918, defiance of the independence by the Soviet empire, restoration of country's independence in 1991 and occupation of 20 percent of the Azerbaijani territory by neighboring Armenia, as well as of murdered children, old people and  mothers," Eyvazli said.

The booklet is distributed in the most crowded places, tourist centers of Alanya and Antalya. The booklet is also distributed among tourists in hotels with the assistance of the Society of Alanya newsmen.

The booklet was prepared at the initiative of the Parliamentary Journalists Association and published with the support of the Society of Alanya newsmen, MPs, Chingiz Asadullayev and Akram Abdullayev.
