Head of OSCE Baku office: Azerbaijani media and people covered long and honorable way overcoming many obstacles

The ambassador spoke about the history of the Azerbaijani press and said the Azerbaijani people and media went through a long and honorable way overcoming many obstacles.

“There are multiple newspapers, televisions, radio stations, agencies and online publications in Azerbaijan today. Freedom of expression and press, as one of the leading OSCE principles, is the decisive factor in the development of the society. We are ready to work with the government and civil society to improve the legal atmosphere for the media and freedom of expression and promotion of these values in Azerbaijan”.
