Azerbaijani parliament adopts amendments and alterations to law "On television and radio broadcasting"

According to Day.Az, the agenda of today's session of parliament included seven issues.

Also Milli Medjlis confirmed memo of mutual understanding between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the international development agency of the United States, amendments to the Civil Code of Azerbaijan, draft law on provision of rights and liberties of those, kept in correctional facilities and others.

The amendments to the law "On Television and Radio broadcasting" envisions regulation of the order of provision of the right to foreign broadcasters for direct transmission on events of special public importance, restrictions are made to the longevity of advertising according to which within an hour the overall duration of advertising on television and radio can not exceed 12 minutes. The interval between commercials must not be less than 20 minutes. The commercials in the sociopolitical television programs can be demonstrated only after 45 minutes.
