World Azerbaijanis Congress: "Iranian TV channel holds propaganda against Milli Medjlis deputy"

As is reported the Seher channel, funded by Iranian special services, continues propaganda against the national ideas of Azerbaijan.

"In order to hinder the activity of the World Azerbaijanis Congress in protection of rights of 35,000,000 Azerbaijanis, residing on their native lands, the said TV channel from to time issues false information.

Moreover, the TV channel does not disavow its idea of splitting the World Azerbaijanis Congress. Therefore, from the moment when Sabir Rustamkhanly became the co-chair of the congress, the channel launched a propaganda against him.

The growing influence of the congress caused concerns of the Iranian special services that try to hold a smeary campaign against him. Therefore, they accused Rustamkhanly of spending WAC-allocated funds for his personal needs.

As a session of the WAC board we announce the following:

WAC is not funded by anyone, on the contrary, Rustamkhanly conducts its activity from his own funds. Such statements of the channel contradict to the charter of organization and are also false.

Moreover, the Congress calls on the Ministry of National Security and Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan to investigate campaign of telephone calls with residents of some regions of Azerbaijan as well as the calls from Azerbaijan to Seher TV channel. We urge to find these citizens", says the statement.
