Hadi Rajably: "We want the increase in one-time maternity grants"

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev declared the year of 2009 as the year of Children and we also want to contribute to this year, said chairman of the parliamentary commission of social policy Hadi Rajabli.

He said there are two initiatives, which may contribute to the year of Children, in this regard.

"First of all, we want the increase in one-time maternity benefits. The amount is not specified yet, as it is a prerogative of the head of the state. Second, we are going to attain the preservation of the six month salaries to women on maternity leave", said he.

Rajabli noted that consultations are currently held with the due state structures.
