Azerbaijani army officer dies

An accident occurred in the area of one of the military units of the Kurdemir region of Azerbaijan, causing death to an officer, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan.

Reports say that lieutenant Sarkhan Yakhyazade shot himself dead in the result of careless treatment of a gun. He was brought to hospital yet doctors did not manage to rescue him.

The causes of the tragedy are being investigated.
