Military wages double in Azerbaijan - UPDATED

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on raising a monthly benefits and compensations, issued to soldiers of the Defense Ministry in place of the food allowance, as well as wages of the civilians of the department, reports Day.Az with reference to the official website of the President of Azerbaijan.

In line with the document, the average monthly wage of military men (except for unvolantary servicemen) has been raised by 50% in average and civil officers of the Defense Ministry by 25% in average.

The monthly monetary compensation, issued instead of the food allowance to servicemen of the Ministry, has been increased by 2 times.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has passed a decree to raise monthly wages to soldiers of involuntary service of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and other military divisions, formed in line with country's legislation, reports AzerTac.

In line with the document, the average monthly wage of involuntary servicemen of the armed forces and other divisions, formed in line with Azerbaijani legislation, has been raised by 100%.
