Deputy Emergencies Minister: Flood has not been recorded

There is not any threat on floods in Azerbaijan today, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Emergencies Orujali Hajiyev told.

Hajiyev said Emergencies Ministry is cooperating with Melioration and Water Economy Joint-Stock Company. The Company informs the Ministry about water supply, water level and other important reports and forecasts and keeps it under control.

"50 soldiers and officers of Civil Defense troops are on the site in Salyan. Necessary facilities, water pumps, event water pumping stations have been installed there. It is controlled when the water rises. There has not been recorded any flood. The situation is under control," he said.

The Deputy Minister saying that people have not been evacuated stated that underground water hit some yards in Ali-Bayramli and said that it was prevented by Emergencies Ministry's forces.

Mr.Hajiyev added there was not any threat in Agstafa, the damages in the bridge have been removed by the help of the State Railway Office. He said the Araz River is also calming down gradually stressing the situation in this region is also under the control, APA reports.

The Ministry official also said that the water level in rivers have already fallen as rain stopped in Azerbaijan and Turkey, no threat is expected.
