Baku Mayor's Office won't reconsider venues for mass rallies

"Baku Mayor's Office has already designate venues for mass rallies in the capital, and it is not going to reconsider it," Zaur Ramazanov, officer of Baku Mayor's Office told.

He said that though some opposition parties do not agree to it Baku Mayor's Office is not debating on designation of the squares in the center of the capital for rallies.

"According to the law, city administration has determined special venues for rallies and pickets. Political and public organizations can appeal and hold their rallies in these venues," he said.

The designated venues for rallies are stadium of "Neftchi" Health Center in Sabayel district, square in front of Baku Oil Refinery in Nizami district, Ukraina square in Khatai district and stadium of "Neftchi" Health Center named after Tofig Ismayilov in Surakhani district, APA reports.
