Ramil Safarov not transferred to detention place

Though the Appeal Court upheld the decision of Budapest Court on Azerbaijani army officer Ramil Safarov’s life sentence, he has not been transferred to detention place from ward, Ramil Safarov's father Sahib Safarov informed.

He told he talked to his son the day before. Sahib Safarov said that his son feels well and will soon be transferred from the ward.

"Ramil does not know when he will be transferred," he said.

Sahib Safarov said that he can not go to Budapest and meet with his son because of his health problems.

"I will leave for Budapest to meet with Ramil after I feel well," he said, "There is no financial problem."

Ikram Shrinov, the representative of Ramil Safarov's family and Defense Ministry told that they do not know when the Azerbaijani officer will be transferred to the detention place.
The Appeal Court upheld the life sentence verdict on Azerbaijani Army officer Ramil Safarov for murdering Armenian officer Gurgen Markaryan in Budapest, APA reports.
