London Azerbaijan Society publishes book "Khojaly tragedy - an international view"

The London Azerbaijan Society and Britain-Azerbaijan Youth Society have published a book named "Khojaly Tragedy - an International View" on the 15th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.

The book contains truth about the Khojaly tragedy, facts quoting different sources about the genocide committed by Armenians.

The authors are London-Azerbaijan Society head Tale Heyderov and Britain-Azerbaijan Youth Society head Taleh Bagirov, and editor-consultant is former director of BBC Monitoring Service Ann Thompson.

Articles published in Washington Post, Independent, Sunday Times, The Times, Washington Times, New York Times, Le Monde and Newsweek, BBC reports, reports of international organizations Human Rights Watch, Human Rights Watch Center Memorial, parts from works by Tomas Goltz, Charles van der Lieu, Tomas de Vall, Yuri Pompeyev on Karabakh conflict were included in the book.

Photos taken by Reuters' correspondents Fredrik Lengein and Claus Resinger in Agdam during the tragedy days, and their thoughts as well as others' who witnessed the tragic event were also included into the book.

The book will be distributed to the world libraries, leading research centers, parliaments, international organizations, embassies and other organizations in Baku.

The London Azerbaijan Society plans to publish the article by British journalist Mark Hollingsworth written on the bases of book "Khojaly tragedy-an International View" in newspaper Guardian.

Besides, the society plans to organize the presentation and discussion of the book "Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict-an International View" composed of articles by foreign authors in March this year in the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

London Azerbaijan Society has already formed a journal "Visions of Azerbaijan" and website www.karabakh.co.uk in English to widen the knowledge of the international community of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict. APA
