Azeri chess player Shahriyar Mammadyarov to join Villa Canada de Calatrava

Azerbaijani chess player Shahriyar Mammadyarov will defend his title at the Villa Canada de Calatrava chess festival to start on April 6 in Spain.

Azeri Grand Master will compete with Vishvanatan Anand (India), Vasili Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Boris Gelfand (Israel), Peter Swidler (Russia) and Aleksay Shirov (Spain) for the prize total of which is $90.000, APA-Sport reports quoting official website of the tournament.
