Capital's traffic to be controlled by satellite

13 February 2007 [19:58] - TODAY.AZ
South Korea's SKS Corporation is developing a project for Intellectual Control of Transport in Baku.

Transport Minsitry's official Sadraddin Mammadov said a delegation from South Korea visited Azerbaijan in mid January to study the traffic problems.

"SKS representatives will pay a visit to Baku in late February again. This system is in use in Seoul. This system enables to centralize traffic control in big cities," he said.

He added that new big buses equipped with electronic monitoring devices will be imported to Baku, and people will be able to get information about traffic jams and traffic scheme through mobile phone, APA reports.
