Next monitoring on bird flu starts

State Veterinary Service finished the monitoring on bird flu on December 17.

38 dead birds and 8 wild birds hunted by selection in the territories temporarily inhabited by migrant birds, and as well as 50 dead birds and 2619 blood samples taken from different farms were analyzed in the Republic Veterinary Laboratory. No bird flu virus was found in the samples, SVS told the APA.

The second monitoring planned for December has started on Monday. The officers of the State Veterinary Service, Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and experts of "Hunters" society will take samples in Absheron National Park, "Sarvan" Hunting Farm in Devechi, Shirvan National Park in Salyan, Aghgol National Park in Agjabadi and Gizilagaj State Reserve in Lenkeran. They will take blood and material samples from different poultry farms as well.
