Haji Mammadov: "If Mehman Hasanov was needed person, I would involve him to my group after Yalukhan Iluyev's case"

26 members of the gang stand trial presided by Judge Ali Seyfaliyev. Rustem Ibadov, the case witness gave testimony on the investigation of defendant Mehman Hasanov's car.

He said that white substance was found in the right-pocket of the car during the investigation, APA reports.

"NSM officer who I did not know called me and said that I will be the witness of the case. The investigation was conducted by the inspector. White substance wrapped in transparent cellophane was found in the right pocket of the car. I saw the substance personally. I did not have any information about the substance and its weight," he said.

After witness's testimony Haji Mammadov said that the substance belonged to him.

"I used Mehman's car for several times. Once, Mehman brought his car to the car-wash station near Garabulag office. I was called; as I could not find my driver Rovshen Agayev I took his car. I was under influence of drug and do not remember what I did, but I confess putting the substance there and I forget to take it. I confess that I am guilty and will give needed information during further testimonies," Mammadov said.

Mammadov also said that Hasanov is not the member of his group.

"It is not right to keep Mehman here; he is not the member of my group. He is not suitable man for my group. If he was the needed person, I would involve him to my group after Yalukhan Iluyev's case. He was only my friend," Mammadov said.

Hasanov denied that drug belongs to Haji Mammadov and said he is unaware Mammadov's using the drugs.

Afterwards Shahin Pashayev, Gazenfer Pashayev's nephew gave testimony on the episode of attack on the car.

"It happened in 1998. I was taking $200 000 belonging to the company to Lokbatan. On the way the upcoming car stopped me, I was demanded to give the keys of the boot. They could not open the boot, so did not take the money," he said.

Then Vagif Mammadov, the witness gave testimony on the episode of search at Hasanov's house and said that two boxes of cartridge and drugs were found.

The trial will continue in the second half of the day, APA reports.
