NTRC meets with presidents of regional TV channels

He said that the current situation of regional TV channels was discussed in the meeting, APA reports.

"The regional TV channels were warned because of the weakness of staff potential and material and technical basis. It recommended that the regional TV channels should be developed and modernized," he said.

The chief said the regional TV channels complain of advertisements and said that they need government's support.

"State budget can not subsidize private TV channels. They should obtain credit from funds, financial institutions and develop their channels," Meherremli said.
