AFFA offers Turkish national team to play in Baku

As APA reports, the letter reads that our country regretted at the FIFA Disciplinary Committee decision on Turkish team and offers the team to play six official home matches of European Cup 2008 in Azerbaijan.

"We have established a thorough cooperation with Turkey which was the first to recognize independence of Azerbaijan. Our peoples joined the happiness and grieve of each other, and supported each other even in most difficult situations. It can be proved in football as well. In early days of independence our country could not pay the home matches of the European Cup 1994 in Baku. Turkish Football Federation rendered great assistance to us that time. Azerbaijan played the home matches in Trabzon, Turkey. We express our gratitude to you for the assistance, and suggest you to play the official home matches in Baku. We can provide all-round assistance to you in this field."
