Delegation of Russian government and businessmen to visit Baku next week

Russian national Exhibition and II Azerbaijan-Russia Economic Forum titled "Russia and Azerbaijan: strategic cooperation" will be held in Baku on February 21-24.

As APA reports, both events are organized within the framework of the "Year of Russia in Azerbaijan" and the presidents of both countries are expected to attend the events.

It is planned that a large-scale Russian delegation will visit Baku next week for participation in the abovementioned events – the delegation is composed of the deputy of the minister of economic development and trade V.Savelyev, president of Kabardino-Balkaria A.Kanokov, prime-minister of Tatarstan R.Minnikhanov, governor of Stavorpol province A.Chernogorov, governor of Astrakhan province A.Jilkin, governor of Penza province V.Bochkarev, governor of Ulyanov province S.Morozov, vice-president of the Trade-Commerce Chamber of Russian Federation V.Strashko, director general of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre M.Musayev and other officials.

The exhibition to be held in Baku is aimed at sale of goods and services produced in Russia in the Azerbaijani market, expansion of socioeconomic, cultural relations and cooperation between the two countries. In general, it is expected that 170 enterprises from 21 regions of Russia (Moscow, Tatarstan, Mordova, Stavropol, Omsk, Ulyanovsk, Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Penza, Saratov, Chelyabinsk and other provinces) will participate in the exhibition and forum to be held in Baku.

"Rossiyskiye jelezniye doroqi" ("Russian Railway") Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC), Moscow Tyre Factory, "Geological exploration" LLC, "Svoboda" Cosmetic Union, "Beliy Gorod" Publishing House, "Kurgandormash", "Kurganstalmost", "Saranskkabel", "Biokhimik" ("Biochemist"), "Elektroavtomatika", Stavropol Piston Ring Plant, Ulyanovsk Engine Works, "Titan" Group of Companies, "Utyos" OJSC, "Pribor" OJSC ad other establishments are among those enterprises.

Moreover, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia will be represented in the exhibition with a separate stand. According to the preliminary agenda of the Azerbaijan-Russia Economic Forum, several roundtables and seminars will be held. So, it is planned to hold discussions on "Development of interregional economic cooperation", "Development of integration processes in education", "Economic integration in agrarian-industrial complex", "The Caspian Sea of XXI century: from politics to business", "Azerbaijan and Russia: single informational territory – problems and prospects".

It should be noted that the official opening ceremony of "Year of Russia in Azerbaijan" will be held in the Palace named after H.Aliyev and opening ceremony of the economic forum will be held in the Sport and Exhibition Complex named after H.Aliyev.
