First Lady opens new facilities

First Lady and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, and Arzu Aliyeva have attended the opening of a building for internally displaced families in the city of Khirdalan on May 10.

The construction of the building was initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

IDP families from Kalbajar, Zangilan and Fuzuli were resettled in the building. The construction of the nine-storey building started last June.

The first lady and her daughters reviewed conditions created in the home of IDP from Kalbajar Niyazi Alakbarov. He thanked President Ilham Aliyev and his wife for the condition created for them.

The building has 126 houses, 42 of one-room, 60 of two-rooms, 24 of three-rooms. The green areas were also laid out here.

Mehriban Aliyeva, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva have also attended the opening of orphanage-kindergarten No. 1, the reconstruction of which was initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Nasimi district of Baku.

Reconstruction works in the building built in 1930 started last October.

The first lady toured the orphanage-kindergarten. The facility was supplied with modern beds and toys. Mehriban Aliyeva was told that 44 children under three are being raised here.

Mehriban Aliyeva wished the staff of the orphanage-kindergarten success. Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva presented a car to orphanage-kindergarten No. 1.
