Cold weather to descend on Azerbaijan again

As of Friday evening the temperature is expected to decrease in Azerbaijan, the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry said.

In Baku and Absheron Peninsula the cold weather would descend on January 17. Foggy, drizzly rain and southwest wind will blow in some districts of the peninsula at night and during day.

The temperature will be 2-5 degrees C above zero at night and 9-13 degrees C during day.

The mountain and foothill areas of the country will see the sleet and snow on January 17-18. Lankaran and Astara regions will see rain and west wind.

The temperature in the low-lying areas will be 0-5 degrees C above zero at night and 12-17 degrees C on day. In mountains, the temperature will stand at 1-6 degrees C below zero at night and 5-10 degrees C above zero on day.

Moderate fluctuations of meteorological factors in Absheron Peninsula on January 16 will be favorable for weather-sensitive people.

However, on January 17-18 the weather conditions will be relatively unstable, which can cause concern among weather-sensitive people.
