The new rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU), Adalat Muradov was introduced to the university's staff on March 5.
Azerbaijan's Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated Muradov on his new appointment and wished him success in his future activities, according to Education Ministry's website.
The minister stressed that ASEU holds a special place in the country's higher education system, and highlighted the important role of this university in training specialists in priority areas, basing on the real needs of the country's economic and social development.
The new rector thanked Azerbaijani president for his trust and said he knows this university very well and knows that it has traditions.
Muradov stressed that the main purpose of the higher education is to develop human capital and to give students advanced knowledge and skills.
Adalat Muradov was born in 1962 in the Aghdam region.
Muradov graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev with a degree in Economics in 1990. Adalat Muradov became a Candidate of Economics in 1993 and Doctor of Economics in 1998. He is the author of more than 60 scientific and teaching aids.
Muradov was an associate professor of the Kiev National University from 1995 to 1999.
Afterwards he worked as an associate professor of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan.
Muradov is married and has two children.
