A sport complex will be constructed in the National Seaside Park in Baku in the next few months, an official with the park, Nazim Majidov, said on October 25.
"Representatives of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports inspected the territory on which the complex is going to be built. Once the draft of the complex is completed and approved, its construction - which is expected to take less than two months - will begin," Majidov said.
He went on to note that the only thing needed to be done is bringing and installing the necessary equipment.
"I believe that by the end of 2013 or early 2014 the sport complex will be inaugurated," Majidov said.
Baku Boulevard, the favorite place of many Baku residents and visitors, is full of people at all times of the year. It was recently expanded two-fold, and is still getting bigger and more attractive. The next step is to expand the boulevard towards the Zykh settlement.
Youngsters and elders alike enjoy staying at the seaside park and the free wireless network will be definitely exciting for youth as well as businessmen who will be able to work in the open air.
Many cultural and sports events are held at the boulevard.
Another innovation which may be put into place is having non-smoking areas.
Furthermore, the administration of the National Seaside Park has announces that free areas equipped with exercise machines will be placed in the new parts of the boulevard in 2014.
