Ambassador of the Republic of Austria has visited the Baku High Oil School (BHOS). Rector of the Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov said the goal of establishment of such School was to prepare specialized staff for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) to respond high international standards and with the knowledge of English language. “As you know SOCAR is expanding its activity both in the country and abroad. At present, such specialists are particularly needed,” he stressed.
At his words, the Oil School would have a large campus in the years to come. Gasimov briefed on expansion of the School’s international ties, establishment of relations with the analogous leading European schools. The rector expressed desire to establish such links also with the Austrian schools.
Ambassador Sylvia Maier-Kajbic expressed pleasure to visit the Oil School, noting importance of such a technical educational establishment in the Republic. He said the government of Austria is keen to establish contacts between BHOS and Austrian technical schools. /AzerTAc/
