According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources currently water richness holds 85-135% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region of Major Caucasus, 55-75% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 10-50% in Lenkaran Astara region rivers, while 60% in the rivers of Nakhichevan AR.
On October 15, 22cm increase of water was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 165m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 98% of decade norm (in 2011, 148m3/sec, i.e 88% of decade norm).
On October 15, 3cm diminution of water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh river. At present water consumption holds 41m3/sec, i.e 38% of decade norm. (in 2011, 66m3/sec, i.e 62% of decade norm).
On October 15, no considerable change of water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura river. In this regard, 4cm increase of water level has been issued in Surra settlement of Kura river and 5cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river, and 6cm decrease in Banka, while no change of water level has been observed in Shirvan and Salyan.
Currently water level holds 309cm (on October 15, 2011, 407cm) in Surra settlement, 168cm (on October 15, 2011, 295cm ) in Shirvan, 160cm (on October 15, 2011, 307cm) in Salyan, 201cm (on October 15, 2011, 237cm) in Banka, while 107cm (on October 15, 2011, 183cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river. /eco.gov.az/
