Archeologists discover over 2,000-year- old burial pitchers

An ancient burial pitcher was found in one of the wells in the Azerbaijani town of Aghdam.  According to the Kepez TV, burial pitchers dating back over 2,000 years were found in the cemetery in the Chemenli village.

The Chemenli village is located on the front line. The burials were discovered while digging a well in the courtyard of local resident, Samir Sariyeva. Even a human skeleton, as well as earthenware and ornaments, was discovered in a large urn.

According to local residents household items that belong to different periods of history have repeatedly found in the area.
