Traffic Police appeals to drivers over Eurovision 2012

11 May 2012 [16:30] - TODAY.AZ
The General Directorate of the State Traffic Police appealed to the heads of agencies and organizations located in Baku in connection with the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest.

As Baku will host the Eurovision 2012 in coming days, the Central Traffic Police Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, with a view to reduce the volume of traffic movement on the central streets and avenues of Baku from May 13 to May 28, urged managers and employees of agencies, enterprises and organizations located in the downtown to use public transport, and refrain from personal cars to the extent possible.

"We hope that, considering the dividends that this song contest will bring to our country, drivers will understand our call and  each will perform civic duty," the statement reads.
