Floods damage 200 houses in Kurdamir

Heavy rains in Kurdamir caused damages some agricultural fields in the regions. Life is paralyzed mainly in Jarly and Goushlar villages.

Floods caused by heavy rains accompanied by hail and strong wind poured to the houses in Jarly and Goushlar villages and around 2 hundred houses were damaged and sowing areas washed out, Vasif Mammadov deputy of head of the executive power of Kurdamir region and head of the emergency situations commission for the region told APA.
Mainly the houses built with bricks were damaged and 30 houses are in emergency condition.

At the moment firefighting brigades are working in the region for pumping out flood waters from living and sowing areas to Kur River. .

Regional Emergency situations commission representatives are inspecting the area and investigating appeals from the residents. The cost of damages caused by floods will be defined after calculations.
