Azerbaijan applies customs preferences for traffic police

Registration certificates, driving licenses, registration signs, and other blanks, as well as equipment imported by the State Road Police, have been exempted from VAT and customs fees, the Cabinet of ministers said on Monday.

Relevant amendments were made to the Cabinet of Ministers' decisions, "On the list of goods imported to Azerbaijan and exempted from VAT," as well as, "On the rate of customs preferences on export and import operations in Azerbaijan."

Amendments came into force from their day of adoption on Jan.24. The VAT rate in Azerbaijan is 18 percent.
