Azerbaijan may close several hotels

The Azerbaijani Tourism Agencies’ Association offers to liquidate licenses of all hotels whose services do not meet certain standards.  Counselor to the  Association Head Muzaffar Agakerimov has informed that such hotels damage image of not only hotels but all the country as well.

" Relevant measures should be timely taken on such hotels so that the other ones make conclusions ",- M. Agakerimov said. Under the last data of Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan, the country presently numbers 504 hotels and hotel type facilities. Only 315 of them are licensed. The number of licensed tourism companies is about 200 organizations.
