Unexploded ammunition found in Sumgait

Unexploded ordnances were found on the 35th km of the Baku-Rostov highway, in the area of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, which is under construction.

Once there was waste metal area near the depot of flammable materials. There was a great deal of unexploded ordnances among the metals that were carried to that area, later a part of the ordnances was covered with sand, some remain uncovered. A few years ago upon the request of Azersun Holding, the area, where now paper manufacturing plant is located, was cleared. Then, 58 unexploded air bombs were disarmed.
