He said Iran and Turkey have had peaceful coexistence for hundreds of years.

He noted that irrespective of the approach of Iranian and Turkish statesmen and their classic diplomacy, their people have very close relations and know and love each other.

He added that friendship between Iran and Turkey, as the two countries sharing strong ethnic, lingual, historical and cultural commonalties, would be everlasting, he added.

Pointing to the establishment of the IPU of the Organization of Islamic Conference in 1999, he said establishment of such an institution with the capacity to forge institutionalized and close relations among Muslim parliaments was an important move.

In today's world parliamentary diplomacy has gained special importance alongside classic diplomacy and that the it is now possible for Muslim countries to have direct exchange of views.
