More than 600 Turkish soldiers entered northern Iraq

Turkish security forces entered northern Iraq pursuing the PKK terrorists, who crossed Turkey’s borders from Iraq at the night to October 19 and attacked the security forces in Hakkari province of Turkey.

According to AFP, more than 600 Turkish soldiers entered northern Iraq. Landing force brigades were thrown to the north of Iraq by military helicopters. They moved 4 km into Iraqi territory. Turkish security forces also launched air strikes on the terrorists. 18 terrorists were killed during the operation.

26 Turkish soldiers were killed by the PKK terrorists in Cukurca, Hakkari province. The terrorists killed five policemen and three civilians, including a child in Bitlis province of Turkey.
