Turkey sends two mobile hospitals to Pakistan

Turket sent two mobile hospitals and 40 medical personnel to flood hit Pakistan to be deployed in Sind and Belucistan states.
Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a press release Sunday that a Turkish C-130 military plane would remain in Pakistan to distribute the medical aid sent to Pakistan which is struggling the impacts of one the worst floods of its history.

Meanwhile, Head of Turkish Red Crescent Tekin Kucukali said the organization's relief efforts in Pakistan would be long-breathed.

He said the organization was getting ready to send 2,900 tons more relief material to Pakistan in 51 trucks and 20 wagons next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Floods, caused by monsoon rains, have killed more than 1,600 people in the last couple of weeks and left 20 million Pakistanis homeless.

Turkey earlier sent 8 cargo planes full of nearly 244 tons of medicine, food, clothing and tents.

Turkish government which donated $10 million to Pakistan also recently launched an aid campaign.
