TRT Director General Ibrahim Sahin and JTV Director General Saleh Qallab signed the protocol in a ceremony which was also participated by Jordan's Media Affairs and Communication Minister Nabil al-Sharif.

Arinc said that this cooperation would help Turkish and Jordanian people to learn each other better.

Noting that TRT and JTV would cooperate in technical issues and programs, Arinc said that the channels would shoot documentary films, and introduce the two countries to each other.

Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Bulent Arinc also paid a visit Sunday to Jordan's Media Affairs and Communication Minister Nabil al-Sharif.

Speaking at the meeting, Arinc said Turkey's state-owned media outlet, TRT, would launch round-the-clock television broadcast in Arabic on April 4 which would reach to as much as 300 million people.

"The new channel will further enhance our relations," Arinc said, adding that a protocol signed between TRT and Jordan's JTV would improve cooperation.

Al-Sharif said on his part that cooperation of TRT and JTV would strengthen ties between Turkey and Jordan.

He said media constituted a bridge between countries, adding that a group of media members would visit Turkey soon.
