Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu inaugurated the Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Center in Cairo as part of his visit to Egypt.
It is the third cultural center behind the first two in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania. These centers aim at promoting Turkey, Turkish language, art and history.
Davutoglu said, "we opened the third center in Cairo since we consider this city as brain of Arab world. Egypt and Cairo are one of the most rooted centers of civilization in the history of humanity."
Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu was also in attendance at the inauguration.
