Iran looks to launch new power plants

Iran is working to launch 12 new power plants in the current Iranian year(started March 21, 2022), Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

The construction of 12 thermal power plants is underway.

Overall, the construction includes a total of 18 thermal and steam units with a production capacity of 4,500 megawatts, which will be launched by the end of spring.

The mentioned power plants are part of the government's plan to develop the country's thermal power sector, reaching generation of 6,000 megawatts of electricity.

The government is looking to eliminate the issue of power outages in summer.
