On September 25, 2017, the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs, and Communications granted AsstrA Lojistic ve Ta??mac?l?q Organizasyonu L.S – the Turkish subsidiary of AsstrA-Associated AG – an R2 international transport license.

With the R2 license, AsstrA's Turkish subsidiary may serve Turkish clients and contract Turkish partners without involving third party agents. Additionally, our clients may now make payments in the lira, Turkey's official currency.

The new license provides an opportunity to reach more clients across Asia and also will help strengthen partnerships with existing Turkish clients. Payments in Turkish lira will facilitate attractive international cargo delivery terms with a wider set of transport partners in this region.

AsstrA Associated Traffic AG Company has thus provided one more example of offering clients optimal logistic solutions for organizing international cargo delivery on popular routes. “It’s important for us to be in communication with our clients and to respond to their inquiries and meet their requirements effectively. Getting the R2 license is confirmation of our focus on clients. Moving closer to our partners has been a step in a right direction,” comments Elena Firsova, head of the AsstrA subsidiary in Istanbul.

The R2 license marks AsstrA's growing presence in Turkey, the crossroads of international trade routes and the bridge between East and West, Europe and Asia. The strategic location of AsstrA’s Turkish office offers our clients access to multiple markets with populations totaling 1.6 billion people and a combined GDP of $27 trillion. The volume of external trade exceeds $8 trillion, which is half of overall global trade. These statistics confirm the fact that international cargo transportation is in high demand in this region.
