Russia-Turkey row temporary - Russian Foreign Ministry

The ongoing conflict between Moscow and Ankara is temporary, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, according to Sputnik.

Speaking in a program aired by Radio Liberty, Zakharova added that the issue of bilateral relations between Russia and Turkey was not discussed during US State Secretary John Kerry's visit to Moscow on March 23-24.

Russian-Turkish relations deteriorated following the downing of the Russian Su-24 aircraft by a Turkish F-16 fighter in Syria on November 24, 2015. In response to this "stab in the back," as it was described by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow imposed a number of restrictive measures on Turkey.
