Georgia announces visa waiver for Iranians

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister announced that the visa barrier between Iran and Georgia has been removed, Irna reported.


'The Georgian government in the first step annulled visa regime for Iranian nationals,' David Jalagania said in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Rahimpour in Tehran on Saturday.

Iranians would be able to stay for forty-five days in Georgia consequently.

Resuming visa waiver agreement between Iran and Georgia which was cancelled by Georgia in 2013 will develop economic relations, social relations and tourism.
