US, Turkey to mull fighting IS

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joseph Dunford arrived in Turkey, the TRT Haber TV channel reported Jan. 5.

Dunford is expected to meet with the Chief of Turkish General Staff Hulusi Akar and other officials of the country.

It is supposed that the main topic of Dunford’s meeting with Akar will be the fight against the terrorist organization IS (aka ISIS, ISIL, or Daesh).
