New Year’s coming

The most favorite holiday of the year that bestows us wonderful feelings, joy and happiness is on the door -- the New Year is coming!

This charming, beautiful and mysterious holiday cannot leave anyone indifferent when every street, every single home is shimmering with colored garlands and decorated with elegance Christmas tree.

The Earth's most celebrated holiday is a hope for realization of dreams, but also indicates the beginning of new plans and actions.

A tradition to leave all the problems and conflicts in the outgoing year does wonderful things with people, who try to be nice and kind to each other on the New Year's Eve.

Many people hold parties to farewell the finishing year and to celebrate the New Year, promising a new chapter of life. Some people attend formal masquerade balls while have small parties or gatherings at their homes. Many New Year’s Eve celebrations are highlighted by firework displays.

Most Azerbaijanis spend this day at home, surrounded by their nearest relatives, talking about past and laughing on some funny stories. There is a tradition to unite beyond a delicious lunch and to drink champagne when chimes beating 00:00.

New Year is a wonderful holiday that reminds everyone about their childhood. We can feel the approach of that day even a month before it because the whole city is hung with garlands, noisy Santas ask to take a picture with them and decorated Christmas trees are everywhere!

New Year’s Eve is the day of mixed and completely different feelings for many people.

On one hand, it is aimed to celebrate the end of the year that is gone and to welcome a new year, full of new emotions and events. On the other hand, some people experience a sense of nostalgia as they do not want to let things that took place in their lives in the past 12 months go.

There is a special atmosphere, which breathes the air as everything point on the approaching holiday.

New Year's Eve is all about the build-up to midnight, when the New Year officially kicks in. You should be sure when the clock is counting down to midnight, you are in a room with people you love.

Now, Baku is full of images of monkeys, souveniers and predictions. People are excited with upcoming changes and despite there is no certain forecasts on that 2016 will be perfect, hope and people’s mood are the most important things.

On the New Year’s Eve even adults are ready to believe in miracles and to come back in their childhood, expecting their dreams to come true.
