Turkey’s Pegasus to open flights to Turkmenbashi

Turkey’s low-cost Pegasus airlines announced about its plans to perform flights on the route Istanbul-Turkmenbashi in the nearest future.

Turkmenistan’s Civil Aviation Agency held negotiations with the Turkish airline Pegasus to establish cooperation and to open company’s representative office in Turkmenistan.

Pegasus airlines, Turkey’s most established private airline, have been flying for 20 years.

Earlier in June, Europe's largest airline, Cargolux Airlines International has started cargo flights on Luxemburg-Turkmenbashi route since June 2015.

Turkmenistan is one of the Turkic states in Central Asia. Its major international airports are Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy International Airport, Krasnowodsk International Airport and Mary Airport. The country’s flag carrier is Turkmenistan Airlines.

Currently, the state airline of Turkmenistan alongside with domestic flights, operate regular flights to dozens cities around the world – to Moscow, London, Frankfurt, Birmingham, Bangkok, New Dehli, Dubai, Minsk, Almaty, Istanbul, St. Petersburg and Paris.
