European Council President Donald Tusk has summoned EU leaders and Turkey to gather in Brussels in an attempt to solve the refugee crisis, Anadolu reported.
''I call EU-Turkey summit on Sunday 29 November at 16h. Purpose: Re-energize our relations & stem migration flow,'' Tusk tweeted late Monday.
Tusk said he decided to call the summit following a phone conversation with Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Monday.
EU and Turkey are in the process of negotiating a refugee action plan, under which the bloc has offered Ankara funding in exchange for stemming the flow of refugees trying to enter the Europe.
