Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia will cooperate to protect railways, the Kazakhstan Railways said in a message Oct. 6.
An agreement was signed by Kazakhstan’s Militarized Railway Guard, Russia’s Departmental Security Service of Railroad Transport, Kyrgyzstan Railways and Uzbekistan Railways, as part of a meeting of these bodies’ representatives in Almaty.
The meeting in Almaty aimed to discuss cooperation and collaboration, and ensuring the safety of the cargos transported by speed container trains through Eurasia.
The meeting participants also shared their experience on organization of paramilitary guard for protection of cargo and railway facilities.
They also discussed cooperation among the parties to ensure the safe delivery in international traffic of goods.
