A high-ranking Spanish delegation will visit Iran on Sept. 6-8 to confer over ways to enhance mutual cooperation.

Several Spanish cabinet members including ministers of foreign affairs, energy, industry, tourism and infrastructures as well as representatives of various companies will take part in the 70- member delegation.

The parties will mainly discuss ways to further promote mutual ties in energy, gas, oil industry and infrastructure fields, SHANA news agency reported citing an Iran oil ministry official.

During the visit, the Spanish delegation will also visit the city of Isfahan in central Iran.

The Islamic Republic and the P5+1 (US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) achieved a final accord in July, curbing Iran 's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions. Following the deal Iran ’s former trade partners have started dispatching delegations to Tehran to study cooperation in post-sanctions period.

The volume of the trade exchanges between the two countries amounted to 4 billion euros in 2011, while the figure stood at 3.5 billion euros in 2009.

The trade turnover between the two countries accounted for $360 million in last Iranian fiscal year (ended on March 20), according to the Islamic Republic Customs administration.
