Turkmen gov’t reshuffled

Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made several staff changes in the government’s senior posts.

Turkmen government said Aug. 18 that Myrat Artykov was dismissed as the deputy chairman of the country’s cabinet of ministers and was appointed the head of Turkmen energy ministry’s representative office in Afghanistan.

Deputy Prime Minister Samuhammet Durdylyyev was dismissed as the executive secretary of the office of the president and the cabinet of ministers of Turkmenistan.

Palvan Taganov, the deputy chairman of the cabinet of ministers, was appointed to this post.
